For those expecting a pole shift or a planet-wide meltdown on December 21, 2012, the transition to the next level of consciousness may prove a disappointment. While dire events could occur, the greater probability is that a gentler transformation will take place over time. 2012 represents a culminating moment, but the Shift has been in progress for several decades, and will continue far past 2012. Radical change may not be noticeable until the acceleration of thought is so visible that we have a collective awakening and recognize that, yes, the world is very different.
