• God has not blessed America—or any other country or leader.
• It is not necessary to accept Jesus—or even love him—to be eligible for heaven.
• It is not necessary to accept Allah to be eligible for heaven.
• God loves atheists and infidels as much as anyone else.
• There is no heaven or hell.
• Just about everything the Ayatollahs—Christian or Muslim—tell us about God is wrong.

The list could go on. One predictable aspect of the great Shift in 2012 is the rise of dogma—of a dark, foreboding, and controlling version of human existence that stands in direct opposition to the freedom, creativity, and self-empowerment that will hallmark the post-2012 world. The worst offenders—also predictably—are the religionists who have dominated humanity for centuries. Whether evangelical Christians, ultra-orthodox Jews, fanatical Muslims, or members of lesser known sects, they intend to impose their narrow belief systems on the rest of us, and their efforts can be expected to intensify. Potentially, it is the most dangerous aspect of the 2012 shift.

Partly, the rise in dogma is the result of fear. The energetic underpinnings of the known world are vibrating at harmonic levels and rates of change never before experienced by humanity. Every aspect of life, from daydreams and thoughts to geological structures and government institutions, are in a deep state of flux. The normal response is to hunker down, keep safe, and return to verities. For the masses of people, religion is the opiate that has kept them calm throughout the centuries. In a time of great turmoil, it is natural to return to this drug and increase the dosage.

But the rising orthodoxy is closely related to the central dynamic of 2012: the choice between love and fear. 2012 brings with it the ‘dividing of the way,’ as it is known in metaphysical texts. Every human will be forced to confront their hopes and fears, and to choose a path for themselves. No judgment is attached to the choice (God does not judge, either), but the individual choice will have soul consequences. A commitment to love and freedom will enhance the opportunity for growth and unlimitedness. A decision to abide by dogma or impose dogma on others will limit experience and very likely result in a slower entry into the next dimension of consciousness.

This is also normal. The universe evolves through polarity, the counterpoint of energies that oscillate between love and freedom, and control and dogma. Every planet experiences the Choice. In 2012, humanity—for the first time in earth’s history—is confronting this choice directly.

But it is important to know that, in comparison to other planets, religious dogma has acted as a straight jacket on human aspirations, subverting the normal human impulse to know God directly in favor of priests and texts. This control mechanism has lightened considerably in the last few decades, as more of the population breaks free and embarks on an individual spiritual path. But as the year 2012 progresses—and even beyond 2012 for several years—we should expect that the guilt, dogmatic certainty, and the narrow gateway to salvation established by organized religion to be unceasingly pushed onto the rest of us.

This is the rise of the dark side, and it is crucial that those on the planet committed to love and freedom stand resolutely against dogma. Many people will be swayed and mesmerized by the promises of religion; they will see no other way out and become more fanatical as unrest rises.

For those committed to a positive, loving future, the path is clear. Resist fanaticism of every religious stripe. Work for peace and understanding. Practice tolerance, even when tested. Remain open, appreciative, and non-judgmental.

Most of all, keep your eye on the prize: your own path to God.

The shift is in high gear, but not because of the gap between rich and poor, unusual weather, or dysfunctional politics. Underlying all of these is an influx of high frequency, love-oriented energies, beamed at the earth and the entire galaxy, which excites every photon in our midst, whether in the form of a thought, belief, or material object. At the most fundamental level of existence, the world is in flux.

Once we command these in-streaming energies, life will settle down into a new and refined pattern. The breakthrough will be the collective recognition that the universe binds us into a whole, making love and oneness mandatory. As our actions increasingly mirror the energies of love beamed into the planet, the outer world will come into alignment. The more we align with one another, and with intelligent life throughout the universe, the more quickly the shift will run its course.

These are the core facts behind 2012. It is a shift in our conscious understanding of life, driven by intentional energies designed to help us take the next step in human evolution.

Mayan prophecies or Armageddon-like predictions, however appealing to various audiences, do not account for these facts. Instead, they function as dogmatic or magical theories that obscure real understanding of 2012. They prevent us from penetrating events and discovering their true cause. As a result, many believe that human frailty and misunderstanding have doomed the planet.

Nothing is further from the truth. The present scene across the planet is a natural byproduct of the energies flowing through our lives. In particular, two aspects of the energies are critical: chaos and polarization.

Chaos

Chaos is a term associated with mathematics and physics. In general, it has meant disrupted energies, with disjointed patterns. That definition certainly applies to life today. But chaos is now closely associated with the mathematics of complexity, which tells us that all energy is organized, even when it appears disorganized. The most public example is a fractal, which is a representation of the underlying symmetry of chaotic, random energies.

Chaos is also a normal stage for energies about to reorganize themselves into a new and higher pattern. The closer to the point of reorganization, the more the chaotic energies swirl and nest into new probabilities to be manifested. This is always a point of uncertainty, since which probabilities will manifest can’t be known for certain. But chaos is not a stable pattern; it is seeking new order. In other words, at this moment, as we approach 2012, chaos is a normal state of being. We should expect nothing else.

Polarity

A second driver is polarity. 2012 is a forced choice moment in human history, in which humanity decides to move forward into oneness or continue its policy of separateness. To honor free will, the in-streaming energies are supportive of either path. If you choose separateness, hierarchy, and control, you will be strengthened. If you choose collectivity, collaboration, and connection, you will be not only equally strengthened, but enlightened. (The universe is biased in favor of love—another fact.)

How does this knowledge help us? Polarity helps us see clearly into the heart of today’s issues. The dysfunctional politics and divisions in society are not the result of competing platforms. They represent two entirely different world-views, driven by energies that force consciousness in one direction or the other. The two world-views cannot be negotiated or find common ground; they represent the ultimate choice made at this point in evolution. Do not expect compromise.

Taking command

The results of chaos are predictable. As every photon takes on the qualities of the new energies, disruption is a given. The earth responds by groaning, shaking, and storming. Thought patterns become confused, fuzzy, and uncertain. Those prone to mental disorganization become far more sensitive. Economic patterns of buying and selling are suddenly different. There is a general sense of feeling unanchored—and we are. The energies are rapidly reorganizing into the next stable world. But from the vantage of human perception, everything looks like its crumbling.

Polarity tells us the world will continue to divide—and it should. A large flock of humans in search of greater meaning and harmony will turn in one direction; an equally large flock will stay the old course. There is no judgment about the choice; each of us is free to choose, and it is important to not chastise others for their beliefs.

To master 2012 energies, the best choice is to appreciate your opportunity to choose. Use the healing energies of love to bring coherence to chaos and unexpected resolutions to polarity. Breathe. Give thanks. Reach out. Connect. Share. Vision a powerful, connected world. That is the best choice.

Endless choices, but these are the easy ones. The choices in the political, social, and economic arenas are manifestations of a chaotic conflict between the collective energies of humanity, which resonate with old ideas of separation, and the instreaming energies of the universe, which vibrate to the fundamental harmonic of oneness.

The visible choices don’t occur overnight. They are appearing after decades of intense bombardment of energies that have shifted the subconscious toward increased awareness, a desire for connection and collaboration, and acute frustration. The underlying patterns of thought have coalesced and surfaced, causing collective movements, causes, and revolt to emerge. But the real choices lie at the level of the soul. Resolution must come from within.

To highlight the choices, the universe uses a familiar tool: Polarity. Every conflict will spawn two opposed factions—and the positions will be entrenched. This is the design behind 2012. It naturally divides those drawn to the light of the future and those who decide—at this moment in their evolution—to reject the energies of oneness. All visible choices are rooted in this tension between two ways of seeing life.

There is no judgment in the choice. But the soul understands the benefits of making a conscious advance into a new collective age. It nudges us forward, signaling its preferences through intuition, insight, and reflections, asking us to reexamine our beliefs, overturn our deepest convictions, and prepare—by wise choices—for life beyond 2012. The seven fundamental choices are:

Reality: Energy versus matter. The universe is composed of two basic substances: energy and consciousness, or love and light. Matter is tangible but illusory. It separates us from one another, the earth, and the energetic instructions of a loving universe. Without seeing through the illusion, there can be no oneness.

Trust: The heart versus the brain. As beautiful as the brain may be, it is an incomplete tool for the future. The heart and brain work together as partners, creating the field of the heart-mind. The brain processes the instreaming energies, but it is the heart that attracts, guides, and filters.

Polarity: Love versus fear. Fear, as scientists know, stills the heart and locks down the brain. In a state of fear, reception to the instreaming energies is blocked. The heart-mind becomes a screen rather than an antenna. Fear does not allow us to proceed into oneness because it cannot reveal the path forward.

Responsibility: Appreciation versus apathy. As a form of grace, the soul is supplied with tools that align us with the energies behind 2012. The most powerful tool is appreciation, which has special energetic qualities that calm us, give us courage, and help us think clearly. The trick is to remain appreciative despite chaos. Apathy does the opposite: It belittles the power of the soul.

Community: You versus the world. Oneness is oneness, not ‘I am one and you are the other.’ The enemy, the opposing religionist, the poor or rich, the prominent outlier—all are part of creation. So is the earth. So is the sky. So is every photon in the universe. You can’t escape oneness. The soul would like us to absorb this lesson.

Faithfulness: Earth versus the universe. Lost on a small blue planet in a tiny corner of a midsize galaxy drifting through space? No. The connections extend through time and across space in an infinite network of beings all embarked on the same path: To understand oneness. The soul has infinite allies. The more faith you have, the more you will hear form them.

Mastery: Stepping forward versus stepping away. The events of 2012 will repel us. No one, including our allies in the universe, knows the exact sequence of events or the magnitude of disruption. But even minimal dislocations promise change on a scale we cannot prepare for. Our imaginative powers do not extend that far. There will be only one choice: To step away and hide, or step faithfully and courageously into the chaos of change, knowing that at the end lies the peace and harmony promised to earth at its beginning.

But the universe does not intend to abandon us to the random forces of a changing earth. As our birthright, we have the means to protect ourselves from harm. And there will be other forms of grace offered to us, bits of information and suggestions that can help ease the transition.

I was reminded of this by the recent channeling from the Hathors, through Tom Kenyon, which outlines a simple procedure for protecting oneself from radiation harm. Though the Hathors cannot forecast the exact events over the next few years, they do foresee the strong possibility of more radioactive release into the environment and urge us to use the procedure to offset damage to our cells. The information from the Hathors can be considered a form of grace. But the Shift offers us many more methods for lightening our burdens as the journey through 2012 picks up speed.

The first form of grace is the recognition that there is no death. Of course, we now fear death and its unknown elements. But 2012 involves a fundamental realignment of our beliefs about death. Humans now truly begin to understand that we are spiritual beings living in a dense body for an extended visit on earth. We’re not really permanent residents at all; instead, we come for the experience and the ride, and hope along the way to learn important lessons. Once done, we return home. As a human, it’s not easy to breathe in that fact and relax, but 2012 will teach us more about this.

The second form of grace is unconditional love. One fact that all channeled sources agree upon is this: If all six billion people on the planet suddenly committed themselves to unconditional love, nothing drastic would happen in 2012. Instead, there would be an instant blooming of peace, prosperity, and good feeling. This particular form of grace gives us the ability to instantly change our collective lives.

A third form of grace is understanding. Facing difficult events invokes fear, anger, and despair. But 2012 is designed for one purpose: To awaken us to the power of our own potential and our place in a love-filled universe. For that, we should feel immensely grateful and appreciative, even when the lights go out. Again, the channeled voices are united on this point: The more appreciative we feel during these times, the more glory and growth in the soul. 2012 is not meant to deliver hard times simply for their own sake, but as a prod for self-discovery. Live by that belief, and grace will be given to you.   

2012 is also a forced choice experiment, but with implications far beyond a laboratory. The experiment is designed in the form of massive disruptions to earth’s way of life, including the geological shifts such as the Japan earthquake. The choice is to continue to believe that the disruptions are unconnected, random events or to see them as indicators of a greater disconnect–the denial of humanity’s deep connection to the universe.  Are we  humans with spiritual origins, or just descendants of algae and apes, without a greater purpose? This is the choice. It’s that simple—and that difficult.

It’s difficult to choose because human beings are natural fence-sitters. It’s easier to watch TV than decide if you are a human being having a spiritual experience, or just a human being—period. Plus, there is the nagging question of dogma. In evangelical Christianity, to be saved one must accept Jesus as his or her Savior. In conservative Islam, to enter heaven one accepts the literal message of the Koran. There are no exceptions. You are with God or against Him. The majority of human beings don’t like this choice, particularly in the modern age. They understand that spiritual forces may be at work, but fear the dogma and superstition of religion.

How do you accept the reality of 2012? By that, I mean how do you accept that a grand shift in consciousness is rapidly occurring on the planet, fueled by energies intentionally beamed at us from deep space, with the pace and severity of change governed by our individual and collective commitment to unconditional love?  How do you choose? Here is what the universe has in mind for its forced choice experiment:

The best choice–from the perspective of making life easier for ourselves–is for a sizeable minority of human beings to immediately grasp that 2012 is a real phenomenon. The world then quickly bands together to change systems to address environmental, social, and economic issues. War stops. Grievances are fixed. The population turns more tolerant, kind, and helpful to one another.

The worst choice is for events to become so dire that breakage to the world and the collective psyche becomes so severe that it shatters the belief systems on the planet. Religious beliefs, political stability, tectonics of the earth, disasters of various stripes—these occur regularly enough that the planet spins out of control and only stabilizes when the minority finally gains ascendance.

At this point, the designof the experiment becomes obvious.  The more we fence sit, the more the choice will be forced upon us.  The more we hold on to the old belief that, no, the universe can’t really be doing this, it’s not possible, that’s just not believable, etc., the more difficult it will be for all of us.

It’s a big choice, I agree, particularly if you’ve spent your life absorbing the logical, scientific ‘truths’ about the nature of reality. You’re just a human, an accidental traveler on an accidental planet. Plus, the experiment has a twist: The choice can’t be made on the merits of reason alone. 2012 is designed to awaken the heart, not the brain.

So how do begin to make the choice? Use the heart. Observe events. Listen to our intuition. Meditate and ask for answers to the forced choice. Answers will come. Why? Because we do live in a spiritual universe, and the faster we believe that, the easier 2012 will be for us.

Some of the best information on the inherent instability of the 2012 process is available through the Hathors, channeled by Tom Kenyon (www.tomkenyon.com). The Hathors have argued for some time that earth will enter—and has now entered, in fact—a ‘chaotic node.’ This refers to a confluence of unpredictable energies interacting in ways that no one can predict, even the Hathors or similar advanced entities. The chaotic node represents mathematical possibilities too complex to track—a kind of non-linear imbalance that occurs just prior to a phase shift into a more stable alignment.

This is exactly where earth sits now. As the accelerated energies of 2012 pour into the planet, mixing with the varied emotional energies of humans, the result is a swirl of competing and conflicting forces. Some will affect human behavior in drastic ways. Other forces will push and pull at earth, causing geological change and eruption.

All this requires a radical adjustment in thinking and planning. Rather than anticipating a smooth road, with the occasional bump, life is more likely to be a constant set of bumps, some very large. Some of us respond by storing supplies, buying guns, and entering survival mode. But the safer path is to find safety within yourself, using the heart to guide you through intuition and balance. Respond to all events with equanimity, compassion, and the deeper understanding that change is inevitable and necessary. It is part of the process, not an aberration or punishment.

In fact, the most powerful response is to welcome change, and to send appreciation and gratitude to the universe for helping us make a radical adjustment on our planet. When loved ones die, or large sums of money disappear, or towns are destroyed, responding by offering your thanks sounds like a superhuman feat. But that’s exactly the goal the universe has in mind: As 2012 progresses, we become superhuman.

The three major earthquakes in the early months of 2010 set the world on notice that geological change was underway. But then events settled down. In fact, there’s been a noticeable lull in the conversation about 2012 since that time. Maybe it’s the lack of media attention. As my son said, “Dad, the movie 2012 isn’t playing. Nobody believes in 2012 any more.”

There’s a certain sad truth in his statement. But life isn’t a movie—and if 2012 brings even a portion of what’s predicted, then we will pay attention. The question is: What signs do we see now?

First, we need to remember the forces behind 2012. An exponential surge of energy, beamed into every atom on the planet, is literally pushing the atoms apart and loosening the bonds of thought and rock.  The result is a radical shift in ideas and awareness, as well as geological upheaval. Events in the Middle East show clear evidence of a tectonic change in thinking; the earthquake in Japan, one of the largest in recorded history, shows that the earth is realigning itself with the new, faster frequencies of a post-2012 world.

As a write this, the consequences of the nuclear fallout from the Japan earthquake are not clear. But if nuclear disaster is spread through wind and water over large parts of the globe, this will bring home to many millions of people the possibility of earth’s collapse. By itself, one disaster will not convince people about 2012. But a series of events—a serial set of unusually severe, worldwide failures—will begin to awaken the planet to the possibility of 2012. To convince people—and restart the conversation about 2012, the world must really go off the rails. A one-off event will not do it.

Of course, there is the frog in the boiling water syndrome at work here. The world has heated up, catastrophes now occur regularly, and there is a general, pervasive sense of unease. But most of the world has hunkered down, focused on one day at a time challenges like earning a living and surviving with some measure of peace. We have not yet noted the pattern and direction of change, or even begun a collective rumination on the meaning of events.

That’s the next step. Stay tuned during the next few months. If 2012 is real, you will see evidence that something is very different about planet earth.

First, as the premise of my book Welcoming 2012 indicates, the pilots of UFO’s—the dreaded ‘aliens’—know a great deal about 2012. Some patrol the skies, observing our behavior during the Shift and, in many instances, responding by helping balance the energies of the planet or individuals as a form of assistance during our critical transition. A minority of others intrude for the opposite reason: To further destabilize the alignment of planetary energies, hasten planetary chaos, or blockade the further expansion of human awareness. This polarity is expressed in the current political and social divisions on the planet.

If this indicates that a kind of Star Wars sequel is underway, that is probably not far from the truth. Different entities, from a variety of star systems acting in the role of allies, controllers, or neutral observers, have gathered for the event we call 2012. Those entities who support us are doing everything possible to make 2012 a positive transition for earth. They want us to succeed—and we can help them as well as ourselves by joining with them.

To get at how we can operate in synergy with positively-oriented civilizations that fly UFO’s to protect and guide us, I’ll start with a basic point: The Mayans didn’t originate the 2012 prophecy. More likely, early in history, the UFO’s contacted the Mayans and shared the facts about 2012. The Mayans, taking the message to heart and confirming it through their powers of astronomical observation, wrote the prophetic date into their calendar.

The real repository of knowledge about 2012 lies with the most advanced extraterrestrials—the most highly evolved beings from dimensions of time and space well beyond ours. These are not the only beings who fly UFO’s; some craft originate from planets only a jump or two ahead of us in evolution. But from the vantage of the 5^th and 6^th dimensions, the view of 2012 is quite clear. Advanced beings at this level can predict the struggle between love and fear—the core theme of the planetary Shift. Much like we can foresee the effects of bug spray or a deluge on an ant colony, they also know the likely conflicts and surge of chaos that will transpire as the energies of the planet heat up in anticipation of a culminating moment in 2012.

How can they know so much about the future? At their level, time is not a constraint. They view events over a swath of time that dwarfs our third dimensional limitations, seeing the past, the probable future, and the mix of energetic forces behind events. In fact, one revelation that will be hastened by 2012 will the scientific understanding that we live in a 4D reality in which time is malleable. Equally important is the lesson that love opens up our ability to forecast the future and read the tea leaves from the past.

What is the view of 2012 from outside time? The beings operating UFO’s know that the evolution of a planet is driven by energetic forces originating from the spiritual center of the universe. Over eons, the energies eventually coalesce and resonate with one another to force drastic changes in the consciousness of the inhabitants. This perspective allows the beings in UFO’s to guide us forward through 2012, and towards the ultimate goal of transitioning into a fourth dimensional race.

This should tell you something else. If you want to know more about 2012, don’t read books about the Mayans. Don’t even read Welcoming 2012. Instead, tune into the transmissions from the UFO’s. The entities in those crafts are speaking to a large number of people around the planet, using the language of telepathy and inspiration. The vast majority of beings support our positive evolution, and if you choose to open your mind and heart, in gratitude for their assistance, you can hear the transmissions. You will then know something about both UFO’s and 2012. Even more, you will know that it is not a question of whether UFO’s are real, but how soon they will feel comfortable in revealing themselves.

            ‘Hey, man, where will you be on December 21, 2012—or is it October 21^st?”

            “Is that stuff real?”

“I don’t know. The Aztecs or somebody predicted it. Supposed to be earthquakes or something.”

            “I’ll get on a tugboat, I guess.”

So it goes with a topic as mysterious, unforeseeable, and utterly outside our experience as 2012. As to the young men, I went over and gave them my card and told them about my book, Welcoming 2012. But I wasn’t much help. How do you explain 2012 in sound bites?

I realized I needed my elevator speech for 2012—a quick two-minute overview that goes beyond mumbling a few words about the Mayan prophecy. Here’s the speech I’ll give in the future, and the answers to the inevitable questions:

Is 2012 real?

Yes, 2012 is real. I describe it as an evolutionary process in which we’re shifting into a higher level of consciousness. The shift in consciousness is occurring because the quantum field of vibrations that underlies reality—and by that, I mean everything we consider real, including our thoughts—is accelerating. As the field accelerates, we’re suddenly in touch with a whole new set of ideas and perceptions. The world’s not ending, but it will look different to us. That’s the change in consciousness.

But how could that happen?

Well, you probably won’t believe in 2012 unless you’re willing to consider a few other ideas.  First, you have to give up the notion that consciousness comes from the brain. The universe is a field of consciousness—a kind of quantum field of its own—and we’re part of it, not apart from it. So you have to kind of consider yourself a quantum being—not so far from what physicists say about us, by the way. As the field shifts, so do we.

Why?

2012 isn’t a random event, but a pre-planned process designed to awaken us and take us to the next step in human evolution. And, the next step is big: We are about to discover that there is a spiritual intelligence behind reality that guides us through succeeding levels of awareness and consciousness. You want to call the planner, God, that’s fine. But after 2012 we begin to evolve toward an ultimate understanding of the universe. In that understanding, we will eventually see that all of us are gods, with complex and powerful abilities, and that we operate as vital members of the universe.

What’s special about the date of 2012?

Timing is everything. 2012 represents a closing of many different cycles of consciousness, and it’s time to move to the next level. That’s why the Mayans could foresee something big in 2012. They could read the cosmic tea leaves.

How can I find out more?

Books and other information will help, but here’s the secret to 2012: Every answer is inside of you. Open yourself up to new ideas, reflect, meditate, and ask for guidance. Stay as loving, appreciative and non-judgmental as you can through these challenging times. Most of all, examine your faith and beliefs. As you become open to the idea of 2012, the facts will reveal themselves. You will begin to see the world differently—and be a believer before you know it.      

Good reason exists for this hodgepodge of ideas. We’re right in the middle of a transition from one dimension of consciousness to the next. The old world is rapidly crumbling and disappearing, which evokes deep, primal fear. Meanwhile, the next world promises a leap forward for humanity, so we project our highest hopes and profound desires onto the future. The picture is further confused by the fact that much of our speculation about a post-2012 world inevitably will be wrong. Everyone, for and against, is guessing.

So how do you get good information about 2012? I believe there are three ways:

First, trust yourself. No scientific institution, guru, self-help book, or other outside source can substitute for your own inner seeking and knowing. Much emphasis around 2012 is placed on earth changes, destructive weather, pole shifts, and phenomena outside of us. But we are the change we seek. Collectively, the consciousness we forge together will affect earth’s future and the severity of 2012. But the collective shift is rooted in individual awareness.

Your personal path to more information is through the heart. The more loving you become, the more the future will become visible and known to you. This process of awareness begins with beliefs; that is, you must sincerely entertain the idea that the Shift is real. Belief is then strengthened by faith. Once the belief screen lowers, and you make faithful efforts to understand 2012, the heart goes to work. You will discover what you need to know.

Second, access sources from other dimensions of consciousness. If you believe in 2012, you can envision an expanded, conscious universe. In this universe are an infinite number of beings who are standing with us as earth transitions. Most exist in realms in which they have experienced an infinite number of 2012’s. They’ve been there, and they know the drill. Find out what they can teach us.

One word of warning: Choose your channeled sources wisely. The ones I’ve used in Welcoming 2012 (www.welcoming2012.com) are reliable. But this is not an exclusive list. Ask sincerely, and you will find others. But beware negative, controlling, or divisive voices. Many sources speak to us; not all are all friendly.

Third, look to the edges of science, where inspired, forward-thinking scientists are rapidly uncovering the principles of an energy-based universe. Mainstream science is focused on cancer cures, genetic manipulation, and the body as a machine.
